Embarking on Its Journey with the Motto “The Encounter of Artwork and Space,” the ArtNouva Art Fair Met Art Enthusiasts for the Second Time
Held between October 22–26, 2025, at ATO Congresium, the 2nd ArtNouva Art Fair successfully concluded with the visit of 38,000 art lovers. Opening its doors with a preview and inauguration ceremony on October 22, the fair received great attention throughout the five-day event.
Organized since 2024 and growing each year by bringing together art professionals, collectors, institutions, and galleries, ArtNouva once again welcomed visitors with a rich and vibrant program this year.
The fair began on October 22 with a special preview event. The opening speeches were delivered during the ceremony held between 6:00 PM and 6:30 PM.
Following the ceremony, the audience was treated to a magnificent performance by the symphony orchestra conducted by the renowned maestro Musa Göçmen, offering a unique experience to all attendees. The opening day concluded with a cocktail reception held in the event area.
The Magic of Art Continued for Five Days
Organized by Atis Fuarcılık with over 40 years of experience in the exhibition industry, ArtNouva offered visitors a rich atmosphere under the motto “The Encounter of Space and Art.” With a wide range of participants — from art galleries to architectural projects, and from universities to special initiatives — the fair brought together thousands of works including paintings, sculptures, photographs, ceramics, installations, art materials, and architectural designs, connecting them with both local and international art enthusiasts.
The fair hosted 102 participants, representing artists from more than 20 countries.
An International Gathering Enriched by Global Participation
Featuring strong international participation, the fair welcomed G Gallery, Krasniy Kvadrat Art Gallery, the Union of Artists of Russia, the Union of Artists of St. Petersburg, and the Union of Artists of Tatarstan from Russia; Gallery M from Kyrgyzstan; Aspect Art Gallery from Bulgaria; Adoru Art from Iran; and the Korean Cultural Center, which showcased art from South Korea. These galleries from diverse geographies brought their unique artistic perspectives and disciplines into the dynamic atmosphere of ArtNouva.
Strong Participation from Turkey
This year, ArtNouva not only offered art enthusiasts new discoveries but also placed special emphasis on the esteemed galleries that have been part of the fair for many years. Each of these galleries continues to play a vital role in bringing art to wider audiences, forming an integral part of ArtNouva’s established legacy.
Galleries such as Galeri Soyut, Arda Sanat Galerisi, Fırça Sanat Galerisi, Guga Contemporary, Erbilkare & Devrim Erbil, Galeri ArtGet, Sergimiz.com Sanat Galerisi, Arete Art Project, Artopia, Biriz Art Project, Sava Sanat Galerisi, Çetinkaya Sanat Galerisi, Cumhuriyet Sanat Galerisi, Artfolio, Niş Art Gallery, Nuket Antik, Cubart, Gravis Art Project, and Ziba Art Gallery are among the names that passionately share art and offer enriching experiences in every edition of the fair.
In addition to these, many other galleries that have participated in the fair over the years continue to contribute to ArtNouva, making valuable additions to the art world.
Every gallery participating this year takes art one step further, turning ArtNouva into an unforgettable meeting point for creativity and inspiration.
Art-Filled Special Projects
At ArtNouva 2025, large-scale art projects once again offered visitors an unforgettable experience. This year, the State Theatres welcomed guests with the exhibition “Silent Witnesses of the Family,” which brought together the magic of the stage and the silent language of photography. Composed of selected frames from the archives of the State Theatre, this special exhibition touched upon themes of belonging, love, and memory through family representations brought to life on stage.
Additionally, the “Being a Woman in Ankara” photography exhibition, organized by the Power of Awareness Association, focused on the life stories of women in the capital, offering viewers a deep and thought-provoking experience.
Another highlight was Taiwanese artist Melek Anqi’s interactive installation “Dream Cartography: Through the Eyes of the Explorer, in Response to Hiromita’s Call.” Created as part of the Hiromita Project, the work offered a multi-layered space of exploration for the audience.
The projects at ArtNouva extended far beyond these. “HEYBEDEKİLER” by artONda Project, “CANTADORA” by the Association of Women Artists, and “Mother Earth: The Heart of Nature” by the TOHUMLUK Foundation each brought new perspectives and creative approaches to the fair. These projects enriched the energetic atmosphere of ArtNouva 2025 while providing art lovers with a diverse and multidimensional experience.
In addition, art groups such as Hevra Art Project and the Diyarbakır Art Initiative from Diyarbakır, Yeni Nesil Sanat Alanı, Dışkapı Art Workshop, and Portakal Çiçeği Upsk contributed unique perspectives and creative energy to the fair. These initiatives and collectives further strengthened the dynamic structure of ArtNouva 2025, offering visitors an even broader artistic experience.
ArtTalks: Where the Voice of Art Rose
As in every year, ArtNouva was not only filled with exhibitions and projects but also with inspiring and informative panels and workshops designed for art enthusiasts. This year, leading figures from the art world discussed significant topics at ArtTalks, offering participants in-depth perspectives and valuable insights.
Within the scope of ArtNouva 2025, a total of 20 panels were held, exploring various disciplines of art, current issues, and future visions, providing attendees with rich and thought-provoking content. This series of discussions shed light on important subjects related to art and culture, offering participants meaningful knowledge and inspiration.
Distinguished speakers such as Prof. Dr. Filiz Yenişehirlioğlu, Prof. Dr. Zeynep Karahan Uslu, Prof. Dr. Meltem Yılmaz, Prof. Dr. Kıymet Giray, Prof. Dr. Celal Abdi Güzer, and Interior Architect Kasım Soner contributed to the intellectual atmosphere of ArtNouva with their engaging talks.
Art for Everyone
ArtNouva offered an open platform not only for galleries and collectors but also for anyone interested in art, eager to meet artists, and willing to create new projects. The fair, which made Ankara’s cultural richness visible on an international level, once again successfully reflected the universal language of art.
